Mutual and federal opens shop in Francistown

'At the time, Mutual and Federal Botswana did not have presence in Francistown nor did we have a single client from northern Botswana in our books,' he said. He pointed out that they have since made significant inroads in the market and northern Botswana contributes almost 20% of their business in Botswana. Bekker further said their broker representation and support also increased over the years. 'Closely linked to this growth in market share, our broker representation and support also increased over the years. Currently, two out of a total of four of our top brokers in Botswana are from Francistown,' he said. He also said that their presence in Francistown would translate into much simpler, accessible and convenient short term insurance services. 'At this point we only offer short-term insurance because our aim is to put people back where they were before their loss of property and so forth. We have not ventured in the business of life insurance yet,' he noted. He added that Mutual and Federal is also looking to grow their relationship with the community and they so far sponsor Francistown Sports Day, The Clifton School Fun Walk and the Annual Golf Day.  'The aim is to continue adding value and building real and lasting relationships with the community.'
