American RnB crooner billed for GICC

 

The Rhythm and Blues (R&B) singer has nine albums under his belt that have earned him many accolades including the 2009 iTunes award for Best R&B Album 'Signature', BET Awards 2001 Best R&B Male Artist nomination and many other nominations.

Local fanatics, who have been following his music, will no doubt be treated to the man's immense talent in music.Thomas got his big break in the late '80s while working in a gospel music store and singing in church. After his encounter with producer Vincent Herbert he released his debut album, Everything, in 1993, which included many hit singles, among them the number 10 R&B hit, I'm In Luv.  

He went on to sign with Jive Records in 1997 for his album, All That I Am, which reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 album charts and number four on the hot R&B charts.  His fourth studio album, My Name is Joe in 2000 has become his most successful album reaching number one on the R&B charts and number two on the Billboard 200 selling over three million copies.

The 2001 Better Days did fairly well reaching number 32 on Billboard 200 and number four on the R&B charts.Other albums under his belt include the 2003 And Then, 2007 Aint Nothing Like Me, and 2008 Joe Thomas, New Man, 2009's Signature and the 2011's 'Good, the Bad, the Sexy both released under a new record label. KBL, Marketing Manager for Alcoholic Beverages, Thabiso Botlhale announced at the company's 40th celebration on Monday night that they will be bringing the singer as their surprise act for their company's continuing celebration.

He said the singer is expected to arrive in Botswana two days before the show to give local fans a chance to mingle with him and the media personnel to get to interview him. The tickets for VIP will be sold at P1,500 while regular will be up by P700. Botlhale explained that KBL will have a competition each Friday until the show for give away tickets starts and two people would win themselves tickets to the show.  The competition starts on Friday.
