Letlhafula proves to be a hit

However with this year's Letlhafula there were no dress ups as people came dressed in their regular clothes such as jeans and T-shirts.  Apart from the traditional Setswana cuisine, Letlhafula has over the years gained popularity as a cultural event where Batswana come dressed to the nines in tailormade German prints and other traditional attires.  This year proved to be a different one in that regard.  Only a handful of people could be spotted in their traditional inspired outfits.

The festival has nevertheless managed to maintain timeliness when it comes to serving their food.  Lunch was served on time and there were plenty of dishes to choose from.  There were dishes as Bogobe Ba Lerotse, Legala,Lebelebele, Morogo Wa Dinawa and meat in all forms including Seswaa, Menoto and tongues.  As usual people had issues of confusion as they could not settle on what to eat or not to eat.  Before lunch there were snacks of Manoko and Moretlwa provided. 

Desert was also served in the form of Legapu and Kabu mixed with Lerotse.Bojalwa jwa Setswana proved to be a favourite as there was not a point where there was not a queue leading to where it was served.  From as early as morning until late afternoon, the demand remained high with some even resorting to packaging to take home the excellently brewed traditional beer.

Entertainment was provided by Kabo Leburu, Punah Gabasiane, Solly Sebotso and Seragantshwane among others.Despite the large attendance and  the entertainment provided,  the atmosphere had something missing. There should be some  activities included in the programme that will see people participating rather than just sitting with nothing to engage in.
