BNF is a bully brother - BMD congress

Some BMD members vehemently opposed participation of their party in the UDC opining that it must pull out. The bone of contention was the allocation of constituencies between the parties in the 2014 elections.
Giving comments on UDC report which was made by BMD president Gomolemo Motswaledi party delegates expressed concern about the looming prospect of having to make way for BNF candidates in 2014 elections.Briefing the congress, Motswaledi said the agreements was that in the constituencies where one of the parties has a huge presence, the constituency will go to that party. Then, he said allocation of wards for council elections in these contituencies will be on 60:40 basis.
Mathubudukwane councillor in Kgatleng East, Jeremiah Mosinyi queried the allocations of wards saying there is confusion as BNF candidates have started campaigning in wards that should be contested by BMD. Mosinyi said he is the incumbent in his ward but may have to hand it to BNF. He said BMD was better off out of the UDC.
Another delegate from Lobatse expressed the same complaint. He said the BNF has somersaulted on the arrangement in Lobatse. He said the BNF wants to contest all the council wards saying it is their traditional stronghold. The speaker accused BNF officials in Lobatse of spreading propaganda against BMD aspirants for council wards.
Amos Ramakhubu from Boteti south accused the BNF of sabotaging Roy Sesana plans to represent BMD in central Kalahari ward saying the BNF have started campaigning in the area. Freddie Ramodise from Borolong said there is going to be big problem in all the constituencies south of Dibete where BNF has traditionally been strong as its members are not willing to give political concession to BMD..Responding Motswaledi said;'Your concerns are real but there are part of challenges we face not problems. We never said it was going to be easy. My encouragement to BMD and BNF is that lets endure these problems because we will finally push though'
However speaking for BNF councillor in the Maun East constituency, Tapoloso Mosika was irked by the barrage of BMD criticism to BNF. Earlier on BMD elders Isa Phoi and Rhoda Sekgoroane had also condemned the onslaught on BNF.
