Kgokong nicks a bakkie in lucky draw

At first she was stunned. She could not believe she had won a brand new Chevrolet bakkie worth P115,000 from Trade World lucky shoppers' draw. Then as reality hit home, she promised the caller that she would be at the scene of the draw in a jiffy. But then Neo Kgokong found that she was too excited to control herself. She could not drive in that state of excitement. Hence she asked Moatlhodi, to give her a few minutes to recover before she drove the short hop to the scene of the draw at the store. When she arrived, she found anxious shoppers gathered to witness the event and see the winner.

The shoppers had been anxious when all the entries were put in a box and one of them was chosen and blindfolded to pick the winner in the presence of the police. The audience started looking around as Moatlhodi called for the winner to come forward in vain. He then called Kgokong, who was then at Molapo Crossing.

The audience waited anxiously for her. When she arrived, shaking in shock and happiness, she told the audience that she was a regular customer at the shop and that she was no stranger to winning such competitions. She said that last December, she walked away with a Blackberry Smartphone during the lucky star promotion.

She said that she had just joked to some people recently that 'today' (on Saturday) she would be collecting her car. She said that she is a new farmer and she is thankful to Trade World as she is going to use the car to transport farm materials and produce. She completed the paper work and was told to fetch her brand new car on Monday after registration. Samuel Mpuchane, Trade World group managing director handed the car to the winner. The competition was sponsored by Proctor and Gamble and started last November when customers were told to buy Always, Pampers, Oral B, Head and Shoulders, Pantene and Vicks products worth P200 or more to enter.
