First exporters and manufactures exhibition on the cards

BEMA secretary, Sethembile Dube has said the inaugural exhibition at Boipuso Hall in Fairgrounds on June 21-22 is meant to expose exporting and manufacturing companies in Botswana to the local market and to promote economic diversity and procure local goods and services.She said that they expect local and regional manufacturers and exporters to take part in the exposition.

She said that there are still more stalls available for interested manufactures and exporters.BEMA is expecting exporters and manufactures from Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and South Africa to participate in the exposition. Dube said that this could help local exporters and manufactures network and exchange ideas with those who come from neighbouring countries.

The theme of the conference will be: 'Turning the wheel of diversification by accessing the local market'.Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry, Keletso Rakhudu will officially open the event.A two-day workshop will be held concurrently with the exhibition.
