TLes to croon as youth cross-connect

Lesole, along with Hip-Hop disc jockey (DJ) Riley Serojane and AFC will entertain young people as they encamp at OBC from July 11 to 13.  American author and actress Jada L Corfield will also share from some of her works at the winter camp.Kingville arranger, Innocent Mudeni, said the idea to bring Lesole, the youthful AFC and DJ Riley, is to reconcile everyone.

'We want to provide a clean entertainment for everyone who will be there. I think by combining those artists we will show the world that there is unclouded music that can entertain,' Mudeni told Showbiz. Kingville is a concept that seeks to create a recreational path conducive for anyone wanting to enjoy themselves in a safe and alcohol-free environment.

Mudeni said apart from music, there would be several other activities aimed at educating youths in line with the country's Vision 2016. Trevor Jones of Cross Gold Music will share DIY (Do It Yourself) skills with young people at the camp.'Trevor uses his hands quite a lot, from fixing his car when it is not a big mechanical fault, to household chores.  So he will teach us a bit on that, which I believe is important for everyone,' he said.

He added: 'Jada will look into how we can make progress spiritually in a world like this.  She will also touch on how to associate with different people as well as how to get along with other young people of different faiths.'Mudeni said there would also be a born-fire night to connect and discuss issues affecting the young generation.

DJ Riley said the event gives young people a platform to relate and learn from one another.'It gives us a platform to sit down, as young people we can talk to each other about alcohol abuse and sexual issues.  It's much easier to open up to your peers about your challenges,' he said.

It is Lesole's presence at the event that will attract lots of youths with his latest album, the epitome of an unadulterated piece of art.  He will be expected to belt out some of his songs from his album, I Believe.
