Charitable rapper releases catchy gospel album

The artist has wisely collaborated with several artists who are talented on their own right and he has also made sure that all genres are included in this album and successfully so. Some of the genres include, hip hop, motswako, kwaito, kwasa kwasa and house and it is apparent that the artist wanted to target the churched youth and young gospel music lovers. In the opening track, Born Again, the artist professes that he is a born again Christian and this is one track that highlights his talent as a rapper. Track six, Wash Me, is one of the tunes to look out for in this album. KOG features a very talented vocalist on track seven, He Takes Pain and this makes it one of the most outstanding songs. Another song to look out for is Give Me The Mic in which the artist declares his love for Jesus Christ. Other songs worth checking out include Spiritual Drunkenness, Kolonanga and Take Care. For a new artist, Kid of Gospel has made an impressive album. It is obvious that not only is the young man talented but he also has connections in the music world given the number of artists that feature in the album. But one thing that is worrying the artist is that Christ In Musik was not properly packaged and marketed. Gifted artists like KOG, who are new in the industry, need to have financial muscle that will allow them to be able to properly package and market their works.

It would be grossly unfair if this good album does not reach potential buyers out there. Another worrying factor is that the album sleeve is not catchy at all and this might be a turn off. This reviewer's advice to Kid of Gospel is that he raises enough funds to re-package and re-market Christ In Musik. The production itself needs to be upped so as to bring out the best in this album and with that, Kid of Gospel is going to give contemporary gospel artists such as Testify and MVP a good run for their money.Part of the proceeds raised from this album are going towards charity.
