KPMG target investmet in handbook

Speaking at the book launch, KPMG Botswana's Nigel Dixon-Warren said that the timing of the launch was perfect, as the book would serve as a guide to people who have intentions of investing in Botswana.Dixon-Warren noted that as Botswana prepares to welcome the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) hub, the country stands a better chance of being at the forefront towards attracting new investors.

He said KPMG intends to develop business opportunities through this book.He explained that the book, which is their first edition, covers, amongst other topics, investment climate, framework, corporate taxation, labour, trade and customs.According to Dixon-Warren, the book will be updated every two years unless there is a compelling reason to warrant a revised edition.

He revealed that they have designed the book in such a way that it is in 'chronological order and easy on the eye'.For his part, KPMG Africa chairperson Moses Kgosana said that the continent has a lot of investment potential adding that the book will reflect on what Botswana has to offer.  Kgosana said that besides being rich in natural resources, Africa is also rich in youths who need to develop their skills further so that they are the ones who end up 'exploring investment opportunities within their continent'.
