Sekai, Mothibe Exchange Bitter Words In Kgotla

Sekai, the tribe's deputy paramount chief, told the multitudes that braved the chilly weather that the royal house is divided by what he termed the Ray Molomo cabal that wants to oust him.The 'cabal' is a group of 25 people consisting of among others former Cabinet Minister Ray Molomo, Monty Letshwiti, former Kgatleng West MP Rakwadi Modipane and retired journalist Kwapeng Modikwe.

Sekai alleged that the Molomo cabal is hell-bent on dividing Kgatleng. He accused the group of negotiating without permission with the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Peter Siele for Sekai and Kgosi Segale Linchwe to be allowed to resume their duties at the kgotla. Sekai and Segale are currently under suspension pending the conclusion of the criminal cases they face.

Sekai's decision to call Bakgatla to inform them about this group did not go down well with Mothibe.Mothibe accused Bakgatla, including royals, of turning the main Mochudi kgotla into a freedom square.'Bakgatla are continuing to shame me.  Even royal family members are an embarrassment,' said the angry Mothibe.'Enough is enough. There is no point in discussing this group here because the members of the group are our subordinates,' he said.

When Sekai took to the stage, he informed the gathering that he did not wish to exchange words with Mothibe.'But he is out of order when he says I have called this meeting to speak rubbish,' responded Sekai who enjoyed roars of 'Kgabo!' from the gathering. Sekai told the meeting that Mothibe has absented himself from the affairs of the tribe for a long time.

'I have been selected to lead you hence I called this meeting.I have a right to call the meeting and my leadership is not by default.'He continued: 'Kgatleng is falling apart and we are told to wait for cowards. This group has not only divided Bakgatla but also the royal house.' When it was time for the tribesmen to comment, the majority of the speakers sided with Sekai and reprimanded Mothibe for calling them lesser beings.
