He then put up an inspired performance to claim the scalp of another  Francistown side, Flames, on Saturday. Dolphins beat Flames 54-29 in a game that started like anybody's.However, as the game progressed, the Gaborone based basketball outfit proved their mettle and ran away with the match.

In their first match with Splinters, Dolphins were the first to break the ice in the initial quarter. But the Francistown based Splinters quickly responded. Splinters took advantage of Dolphins' failure to quickly recover and protect their zone in the run of the game and scored a beautiful basketball. The two teams interchangeably took turns to collect baskets and the first quarter ended 17-14 in favour of the visitors. In the second quarter, the visitors started like a house on fire. Barrows played as a three-guard throughout the game. He played his heart out and managed to get the best for his team.

The versatile and enterprising Barrows could score from both close and long range. He had nine points  after he scored a total of three three-pointers when the worst came to the worst during the game.Dolphins emerged winners of the second quarter after collecting 22 points compared to Splinters' paltry 11. In the third quarter, Barrows combined well with talented and flexible Tshepo Mixon to win it for Dolphins. Mixon scored a total of 19 baskets in just a single quarter as the Dolphins crushed Splinters 27-3 in the third quarter. Both sides resorted to play zone in the last quarter. Dolphins wanted to protect the points collected while Splinters wanted to save blushes by not conceding more baskets.

Dolphins' second game against Flames also established that the Gaborone based outfit's tactical awareness of the game was superior. The game ended 54-29 (24-14, 10-7, 15-7 and 5-1) in favor of the visitors. The visitors' strategy of gathering hay while the sun shines is working for them because by the time the opponent tries to take the game to them, they resort to playing zone. And when playing zone, it is difficult for an opponent to penetrate the Dolphins defence. In another game played at the same venue, Dolphins ladies side beat Splinters 53-13 in a one-sided encounter.
