TAFIC deny Changwe exit

Sources close to both the coach and the team informed Mmegi Sport that the long-suffering Changwe has written the letter to the club management demanding to be released from his contract. The sources, however, are adamant that the club's stance is a pure public relations exercise. The soft-spoken coach is contracted to the club until the end of the 2013/2014 season.Changwe is reported to have delivered a letter to the club management early this week demanding to be released from his contract.'As far as I know we have not received a letter from Changwe. He is still our coach but if he delivers such a letter the club will make an official announcement,' TAFIC welfare manager Master Mbulawa, who is also one of the shareholders at the club, said yesterday in a telephone interview.

The Zambian born tactician is said to be unhappy at the club because of unpaid wages. Since coming at the club more than a year ago, the coach has been mostly surviving on hand outs from well wishers. There has been speculation regarding Changwe's future at the club and the sources maintained that the youthful gaffer wanted out and was contemplating returning to Zambia if he would not get a suitable offer locally.Changwe has been linked with several clubs in the past weeks among them newly promoted side Orapa United. The coach has always refused to be drawn into discussing his association with the TAFIC leadership choosing to refer the media to the executive committee. He was not available for comment when this publication sought to establish if he has indeed written a letter to TAFIC demanding to be let go. His phone was not available.Meanwhile, technical team members at TAFIC's cross town rivals ECCO City Greens are said to have decided against releasing Batisani Josiah, Mmoloki Kafuko and Joseph Joseph as earlier envisaged.

The Atshele Molapi-led technical team is said to be of the view that the three players can add value to the club. Only two players are expected to leave Mamoja Diski, according to club chairman Mothibedi Latlhang.  'We have given Mochudi Centre Chiefs the green light to talk to our left back, Ontse Ntesa .We have however given them a development fee they would have to pay us to get the player.  'We also funded the player's tertiary studies so Chiefs will have to refund us to get the player,' he said yesterday. Lesego Lubinda is tipped to join Notwane because he is going to Gaborone on a two-year study leave, according to the chairman.  Notwane is the only club that has expressed willingness to sign the player.
