Zim, Senegal and US gigs for Berry Heart

To date as Botswana's representative Berry Heart, revealed that she has been to Lesotho and South Africa where she performed poetry pieces and participated in anti-violence towards women and girls workshops.In an interview with Arts & Culture, Berry Heart said that as a poet she feels she has been bestowed with an honour that she does not take for granted.  She said that as a representative, she does not only stand for herself but the rest of Batswana as a nation, hence why she aims to work hard.

'It is my duty to keep the standards, meaning I only have room for improvement and not to go and lower them.'Berry Heart said that she aims to make the department of Women's Affairs in Botswana proud for choosing her.  The artist said that she would be jetting off to Zimbabwe next month for a workshop to be held from July 1-3.She said that she has been invited by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe alongside South Africa's Rosie Motene who is the guest speaker while she is the guest artist.Berry Heart said that from Zimbabwe she would then fly to the United States of America (US) for a two-day summit for the 'Unite' campaign after which she would go to Senegal on her return.
