Chiefs offer Ndlovu new deal

Indications are that Chiefs will now have to tussle with traditional rivals Township Rollers for his signature.Although Rollers would not confirm their interest in Ndlovu, sources within the corridors of Popa revealed a reunion was a possibility.

Rollers were the first Botswana club Ndlovu coached in 2005 when he joined them from Bulawayo Highlanders. And Chiefs' communications manager, Clifford Mogomotsi slammed their rivals saying 'they were after everyone'.This follows Rollers' swoop on Chiefs' most prized possession Galabgwe Moyana who  signed a two-year deal with Rollers last week.

'They want everyone now....,' said Mogomotsi in reference to Rollers' reported interest in Ndlovu.'But we should be concluding a deal with the coach (Ndlovu) tomorrow. We have offered him a new deal, we want him to stay with us,' he further told Mmegi Sport.Until Wednesday, the two-time title winning coach's future with the Kgatleng giants was unclear as management chiefs were seemingly divided over him. However, confirmed reports are that chairman, Ernest Molome this week contacted the coach, expressing interest in extending his deal.

Ndlovu also confirmed the development but would not comment on reports linking him to his former club, Rollers.'The club (Chiefs) has called me and indicated they want to extend my contract. I'm not sure about any other club because I was waiting to hear from Chiefs,' he said.

Chiefs advertised Ndlovu's position earlier this week while the coach was away in his native home, Zimbabwe. The advert raised eyebrows as Ndlovu was yet to be approached for a new deal.Chiefs explained it was a procedural move since Ndlovu's deal was coming to an end in a fortnight.Ndlovu joined Chiefs two seasons ago and bagged back-to-back titles.
