Fraiser signs for Chiefs

Fraiser, whose contract with Nico United elapsed on June 1, confirmed the Chiefs move in an interview with Mmegi Sport yesterday.'I will be signing with Centre Chiefs after I failed to agree terms with Nico United. 'I have agreed terms with Centre Chiefs and what is left is to put pen on paper,' the burly marksman told Mmegi Sport yesterday.

'It also my biggest dream to play abroad, with South Africa as my next main destination. I believe at Centre Chiefs I am better placed to achieve this dream.  'I also want to earn a regular place in the national team and I believe that I can achieve that playing for a bigger club like Chiefs,' Fraiser said.

Nico reportedly offered the player a three-year deal with a signing-on fee of P40, 000 and a salary of P7, 000, a deal he declined. Chiefs on the other have reportedly offered Fraiser a staggering P60, 000 as a signing-on fee plus a monthly salary of P10, 000.

'All I can say is that I am happy with what I will be earning at Magosi but I cannot divulge details,' he said. Yesterday Chiefs' spokesperson Clifford Mogomotsi maintained that the club is yet to open talks with Fraiser and denied that the marksman is poised to sign a deal with the Kgatleng giants today. 'We are very much interested in the player but talks with him regarding a possible move are yet to begin.

'We wrote to Nico seeking permission to talk to the player, but they are yet to get back to us,' Mogomotsi said.Sources at Chiefs have, however, dismissed Mogomotsi's statement as a pure public relations exercise saying that the player will definitely sign a deal with Chiefs.

There might be an exodus of players from the North to the South with ECCO talisman Tendai Nyumasi linked with Township Rollers while TAFIC defender Kago Nfila, who had a sterling season, linked with Chiefs.ECCO's Patrick Lenyeletse has also been linked with clubs in the southern part of the country.
