The dancers looked smashing in their beautiful dresses more especially ladies in their beautifully designed dresses and high heels. For gentlemen they could never have looked handsome in their suit, as they had put on their dancing shoes to show the audience their magic.
The show started off with general dance where everyone was allowed in the dancing floor to shake what their mamas gave them. For those who love and know how to dance this was an opportunity to show off their moves. From the young to the old no one wanted to be left behind as they danced heart to heart with their partners. The lights were dimmed, partners looking cozy as they Waltzed the night away dancing to slow music.
Amongst the dancers were local ballroom legends also referred as the stars of the past in the likes of Lebotsang Mohutsiwa the king of Waltz, Keba Nyathi the first woman to dance Latin American in Botswana who has also won more than 25 trophies, Mothusi Sebego, Edward Keleneilwe, Rose Letsholo, former BODASA president Eric Galetshoge and other legends who saw it fit to remind themselves of their heydays. Even though years have passed by and sweeps their youth away daily, these legends proved to the audience and young stars that they still have their moves and passion for dance. They moved to the rhythm most of them dancing waltz and foxtrot.
With the lights and glitter in the dancing floor, the current stars did not want to let the old put them to shame with their moves. Even though they learnt and got aspiration from the legends, the young couples in the likes of David Moatlhodi and partner Keneilwe Moshodi, the current National Champion treated the audience to exotic Samba dance moves. Tirayaone Mojatlale and partner Botlhe Mmolawa danced Rumba while Mogomotsi Bolane and his partner also showed the audience what they are made off.
The beautiful, young and talented couple Tiro and his partner drove the crowd wild with their splendid performance. The young movers and shakers did not hesitate to show all that they will be the next champions as they easily stole the audience' hearts with their energetic moves.
Local comedian Bobo Letsatsi also known as Ribcracker successfully cracked a few ribs with his endless jokes. He invited his friend also famous stand up comedian Mod who could not stop making people laugh.La Dance Panier lads also blew the room away with their beautiful dance moves. The young boys and girls did two performances showcasing different dance styles. Mohutsiwa and sons kept the fire burning with Zumba, a dance where they lead the audience to copy and dance every move they displayed. No one wanted to be left behind as the whole room danced the night away.
