Kwaito star Motlhagodi ready to conque

The rising star whose single Amanikiniki conquered the local music charts in 2008 says fans are yet to see the best of him.'I used to be a dancer in school talent shows (at Maikano Junior Secondary School). At the time I had no ambitions of taking music as a career; I just enjoyed the little I got from friends who cheered me,' Naisy Boy told Showbiz.His live performances are passion filled as if to convince himself that he was destined to be a first class entertainer.

Since he started in 2008, Naizy Boy has grown in confidence and now feels he is ready to conquer the world of music.'I know there are numerous challenges now more than there were some years back with the shifting of focus to some new sounds which seem to be diverting fans' attention from kwaito music, but I believe I can prevail,' he said. Naisy Boy's career kicked off in appalling fashion.

After meeting a Zimbabwean hip-hop producer he only identified as Tanveni in Molepolole where he was schooling in 2007, the lad had no inkling that he would end up as a kwaito musician.'I used to visit him and we would be trying different things on his computer. I would record him and he would do the same for me but all for fun. But just one day I remember after I did a Motswako song I got the idea that if I could up the tempo it could gel into a great kwaito song.After moving from Molepolole he met another Zimbabwean music man called Dublin (Tinashe Nyamariba) who 'officially' launched Naisy Boy's career, with the release of the popular Amanikiniki, which went on to enjoy good airplay resulting in its breaking into the both Yarona FM and RB 2's charts within weeks of release.By the end of 2009 the youngster had wrapped up a full album called Ke Golegile.

The following a single from the same album (Mmalefifi) saw the musician take a step higher as he gave kwaito followers something to think of.Currently in studio Naisy Boy believes his new offering, Dramatic Music will announce him as a serious competitor in the field.
