Wandile is coming to town

 

After four years in the industry Wandile has been rising steadily on the gospel music front and has already been nominated for the Crown Gospel Music Aawrds for her efforts and when a name of such a sought-after vocalist is bundied around fans have every reason to get excited.

The South African musician is coming to Botswana this month (November 10) for the launch of her new album and those who already have her music or have seen her perform on television are eagerly waiting for that night.The young woman from Duduza Township in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, is an impressive gospel musician.Her status as profound gospel musician has grown since her debut Qina, which means 'be strong' in Zulu.

Since then she has travelled the lengths and breaths of South Africa often singing for dignitaries and ordinary fans.Her good fusion of slow jazz tunes with gospel lyrics makes her a favourite for those who enjoy this relaxing brand of gospel with its imposing Afro-jazz impact.With a piercing voice, Nkosi has crowd-pulling power and those who visit the Baobao Hall on the night can be assured of a soothing night of grace.

Perhaps even those who are neither gospel fans nor Wandile's followers have reason to attend the event.Muvhango actor Steven Banyali is scheduled to make an appearance at the event as well. Banyali plays the business executive Tumahole in the popular Duma ka Ndlovo drama. Many would recall how Tumahole chased Thilisile some months back before business lawyer Njabula allegedly raped her.Once again Obakeng Sengwaketse will get a chance to rub shoulders with the industry's big names as the only confirmed local musician scheduled to take part in the event.
