Police do not answer their phones

Portiah Dijwalo Teke: They don't answer phone in time, the phone will ring up until it cuts, from here they will arrive at the scene late, sometimes they say 'garena koloi're tsile go bolawa ke magodu hela gotwe rena le sepodisiTshidi Bale: They are simply not paid enough, they do more work than the defence force and still don't get nearly as half the perks that soldiers get. This needs to be looked into.Laone Botite: O mongwe maloba ke ga are.....''nna ga ke a hirelwa go satisfy dicertificates'. ne ke batla go certify academic certificates....khiiiiTsaone Kabo: so far they are on good track' and with that itshireletse programme we learn a lot.. thanks BPS.Aobza El-mubarak Bakokonyane: thanx to the itshireletse programme e bula Batswana matlhoCaroline Green: BPS is doing its best with the little resources they have. Our safety & security is in the hands of the police. Of course they their strengths and weaknesses just like any other organisation.Barbar Barbar-q Botsisang: Poor service! I still have a case unattended and its been 2 years! they told me if I see the culprit I should arrest and bring him in...talking a threat to kill case! cmon!Right now I don't move around cause the culprit threatens me everytime he passes by my yard! #freedom gone!Kgosi Moemedi Rabolo: The services provided by the police can be categorised in to 2, Public Education and Law enforcement. Mo Public education they are doing a good job, they have lots of campaigns that keep us updated on important issues, including the popular TV show, in that department ke ba rolela hutshe...... but when it comes Law enforcement, nnyaa! koo the service is appaling, its like the guys are simply not competent or passionate about what they do.... gape issue ya lack of vehicles is just ridiculous... ba tshwanetse go itsosa.Aba Madiadia Matlou: Nnya mme reka bua ka Sepodise but gase sone hela, maphata otlhe a sule loso ebile sepodise ke sone sese santseng sele botoka coz gaoile go kopa thuso teng u sure to get one. Its only that at times we go to their offices and expect miracles....while we really know their resources are limited. Akanya koloi tse pedi mo motseng o kana ka Kanye, ga di kake tsare kgotsofatsa jaaka re batla but its not their fault. I think ba dira tiro sentle....yes bare sireleditse and thats the only place where we all run to gole maswe and they always help. Alan Ma-Alo Pogiso Pogiso: Very prompt when they cum 2 close diparty but that promptness flies out of the window when its a robberyGorata Moshampi Gwai Sepodise: se tshwerwe ke ma special constable they do everything patrol, office work, apprehension of criminals & protecting life and property, regular officers ga ba itse go thusa batho, barena they keep dikey tsa dikoloi mo dipateng go bo go twe dikoloi ga di yo. give special keys of cars le tla bona thuso ka bonako big up special constables!MW Gabatlhaolwe: I like the Traffic Police, they are doing a good job, but I can't help it but observe that there is a classic image of government-endorsed corruption where the 'highwayman' with badge and receipt book extracts money from a compromised traveler with no hope or relief in sight. Now that's way too good and too much of everything is bad. This officer's job is to sit in his car on the side of the freeway pointing lasers at cars so he can write tickets all day long. O tla a ne a tshematshemela mo tseleng out of no-where o ipotse gore go iphitlha ke ga eng. Everyday people get suckered into tickets. Operations which were meant to increase road safety seem to be now motivated by revenue targets. Yes, if you don't violate a law you don't get in trouble but the law has to be enforced in a transparent manner. Hiding behind bushes to trap motorists is hideous. And, our Police always get away with it. In Germany where a drivers' guilt must be proven (no picture or video = no ticket) for all traffic crimes. Seemingly the govt has turned to its people's pockets to rescue it out of this desperation ya madi. Government should be ashamed of seeing its poor citizenry as a source of revenue instead of coming up with new economic activities that will source funds for its projects.Mthembo Bigmoss: Poor response tym due to unavailability of transport.Their salary scales need to b upgraded, why go sena salary scale sa D2?Young officers need some incentives to motivate them. Barena ba ja ba le nosi, they only upgrade their salaries ba togela makaunyanaDennis Thomas: Our police are doing their best to deliver quality service given the limited resources at their disposal, however, a lot ought to be done in terms of their response time, as well answering their telephone...Scaba Ruth Khupe: The government should seriously consider improving their welfare! They deserve better remuneration and equipment. Instead of buying more tanks for the BDF when there is no threat to the country, our government should buy more vehicles for the police because they are faced with a mammoth task of protecting citizens!Mchifana Tainship: The Botswana Police is one place you can ba assured the best quality service in govt.Mmoloki Mfazo: bana le kgetlhololo ya letso le mmala, if you report a case ole rre against motho wa mme they will rather listen to her than you, or even laugh at you that you are not man enoughOnty Bagwasi There is always problems when certifying copies with the police, if you have five copies it becomes a problem to them, if they can just do their job without complaints then it would be appreciatedAlfred Setshedi: My experience....I was driving a van around 4am I came across police in a road block..an officer a bo are boela kaha...I did..he came to my car...a bo are license..I gave it to him...he said..o bitswa mang monna..I said a maina ame ga ayo mo licenseng moo..he said hologa moo..I did...he took out a pen from his pockect wrote down number plate ya koloi..he told me gore oya go nchajetsa go gana go mmolella maina ame...we went to buzz bus..when I got there he gave the attending officer number plate ya koloi yame...I was now told gore ke hupe tami...I asked them gore ke hupa ha goreng cause I came into the bus gotwe ke chargiwa go gana go bua maina ame..I asked them gore ge ele gore officer o belaela maina ame ke eng asa batle omang wame to proof..they said mr hupa tami o tagilwe..only for me to oblige ke bo ke hupa tami..results 0.00 alcohol content...! I say poor service!Kassy Naidoo: Most police Officers need to be taught customer care to address different scenarios, they need to have a good approach towards their customers, Customer care it must be one of the subjects in their curriculum at police college. Well despite that i will say they are doing a very good job, more especially that now they have a TV program which is mo educative to the public. They need improvements especially responding to report via phones, you can call 999 and it can ring for hours, and again the issue of 'we do not have transport' should come to end since now some are using that as an excuse not to carry on police duties..Golekwang Tsiolo: Pay up the cops, atleast constable e je C3 jaaka DIS junior officers.Janet Daphney Makola: Bomme ba special constable ga ba na discipline maybe its because ga ba rutintshiwa for long. just today I went to certify my ID copies, a young man helped with respect but made it clear that next time I should go to the omang offices. All this while bomme ba were giggling. I got help, when I walked out one of the ladies said it loud enough for me to hear,  'hee you should certify your Omang at ID offices' al am saying is they shldnt make things personal. professionalism is very important.
