The winner between Botswana and Zimbabwe will go on to take on Angola in the 2nd round of the qualifiers in July and August. Should they prevail against both Angola and Zimbabwe, Botswana will find the winner between Kenya and Egypt in waiting in the 3rd round.
Botswana teams have traditionally struggled to make it to the finals of the CAF age based competitions. The last team to qualify for any CAF aged based side was the Sox Molwantwa and Masego Nchingane group in the late 90's.
