It's Richard the BBA2 conqueror

The bubbly 24-year-old East African last Sunday beat Nigeria's Ofunneka and Angola's Tatiana.

The BBA 2 grand finale, unlike the usual Sunday eviction shows, took two hours and kept the three contestants tense, and the viewers anxiously waiting to know who the eventual winner would be.

The show had a number of performers, including the nine evicted housemates in Bertha of Zimbabwe, Code of Malawi, Justice (Botswana), Meryl (Namibia), Lerato (South Africa), Maureen (Uganda), Kwaku (Ghana), Jeff (Kenya), and Maxwell (Zambia). Led by Code and Bertha the nine evictees performed a beautiful song.

The show started with viewers being taken down memory lane, with clips of the housemates entering the house, the laughter and fights/tiffs among housemates. When eviction time came, it was Angola's Tatiana who became the 10th evictee, having received only a single vote - cast from her home country. She however did not leave empty-handed as she got a prize: to attend one of the 2010 FIFA World Cup games in South Africa, inclusive of travel and lodging. Tatiana's exit left only two finalists - Richard and Ofunneka - and tension reached breaking point.

Finally the winner was announced - and it was none other than the 24-year-old Tanzanian film student (Richard) who got the nod and the mouth-watering American dollars.

Ofunneka, of course, had to leave the house as the 11th evictee. But she, too, won herself tickets to the 2010 World Cup finals.

'Richard the adulterer', as some viewers used to call him, did not beat about the bush when asked what he intended to do about his marriage, as he told viewers that he loved his wife and hoped she would take him back. The young Tanzanian at the same time pronounced to all and sundry that he had fallen in love with Tatiana. At face value, it looks like the two BBA2 love birds had it all mapped out because Tatiana also declared that should her boyfriend take her back she was going to continue with their wedding plans. However, if he did not she would definitely be with 'Richard especially if his wife also refuses to take him back'.

By yesterday Richard did not have a definite answer as to what he will do with the money but assured the many viewers who had voted for him that he would use it wisely, adding that whatever he decides to do it is not only going to benefit him, but other people as well.

To clinch victory, Richard received seven votes against Ofunneka's five, and Tatiana's one vote. Bravo
