Santos and Fighters meet in a friendly game

The objective of the game is to test the new signings and to see how the veterans are doing on the field. Fighters have performed badly, loosing all the league games, which is why coach Justin Mmereki is hopeful that the season will be better. The coach alluded to having a mediocre striking force. He also said that it is difficult to coach the women since the team started off with people who have never played the game before. He did say, however, that towards the end of the season, they showed great performance.

Mmereki said that since Fighters are a brand, the ladies team should work hard to uphold its high standards. The coach also noted that he has new players from the just ended BISA competitions. In a bid to improve the status of fighters, Mmereki has opted to train Mogoditshane Junior schoolgirls team and the Thamaga Junior under 17 and 19. Meanwhile, fighters started training last week because they have been on off-season and some of the players were writing the examinations. On the other hand, the new Uniao Flamengo Santos coach, Luke Ramaeba, confirmed the encounter and added that they are still recruiting players. Ramaeba said that they will keep an eye on those players in other teams who so that they can consider who to sign. He expressed gratitude for the  Re Ba Bona Ha programme where some of his players first displayed their talent.

The teams are still looking for referees. One of the coaches expressed disappointment at the way the League is run, as there are no referees. He says this shows that ladies' soccer is not taken seriously. The League kick off is yet to be set since the clubs have not received the prize money so it will be difficult for them to attend games and carry out other duties.
