Slizer is in the process of shooting a DVD for her latest album, Diwewewe, which was released last year. She is shooting for all the eight songs and admits the project will pinch her financially, but feels it is worth the sacrifice.'I've already started the shooting of my new DVD. It will cost a lot of money and we will shoot at different locations. But it's something that I want and I really want it to be different from what I've always done in the past,' Slizer told Showbiz.
Her promoter, Gilbert Seagile of Gilbert Promotions, confirmed that Slizer will fork out an amount in the region of P100,000 for the shoot. And Slizer is convinced the final product would vindicate her. 'I'll give people something fresh and of high quality. I believe I have to bring in a bit of diversity into my music because people get tired of routine, they need something fresh and innovative. So I want to make it worth every thebe,' she vowed.
Much of the P100,000, which other local musicians have frowned upon, as they believe it is far too much for the Botswana market, will be gobbled up by the technical experts that she has engaged. The wardrobe and hairdos will also eat up a substantial amount.
'I'll be changing my hairstyle and clothes in every video, which is obviously costly,' she added. The video of the song Ba Nkitsi - which was a direct message to those who felt she must not return to Zimbabwe - looks likely to draw daggers beyond Botswana's borders. She wrote the song after her family, including her mum, barred her from travelling to Zimbabwe following a nasty experience that has remained her secret.
In the track Ba Nkitsi, Slizer speaks of how Zimbabweans appreciate her dancing talent. Her fans will also get to see her newly fangled dance Diwewewe on video as well as the slow love tune Dali Wame. Slizer will also shoot videos for the songs Live On Stage, Koleke Koleke, Tsena Tsena, Bojonjo and Woza.
