Motlakase wallop no mathata 5-0

Palapye's Motlakase Power Dynamos on Saturday thumped an eight-men Selebi PhikweÕs No Mathata, 5-1, as the second round of the Southern Zone First Division League resumed.

The game was played at the Palapye Swallows grounds under cloudy conditions in front of a small crowd.

In the 5-0 rout, No Mathata had two of their players Nkololo Phuthego and Samuel Kaludi red carded by referee, Lelani Lucas Montsho.

The game started a bit late because some of No-Mathata players arrived late at the grounds. The hosts did not take long to punish them as Tshenolo Mankanka found the net on the 7th minute. Mankanka appeared to be in an offside position when he netted the goal. This enraged the No Mathata bench.

The Phikwe side tried to come back into the game on the 9th minute but the effort was immediately defused by Motlakase goal keeper, Matizanadzo Alistar. Veteran midfielder, Barulaganyi Jomo Bolofete showed his experience as he scored Motlakase's second on the 14th minute after a good flowing move.

No Mathata goalkeeper, George Morotsi was having a bad day, blundering on the 20th minute to allow Mankanka to net his second and MotlakaseÕs third goal of the match. A few minutes before the break, Bolofete also completed his brace to make sure they go to recess 4-0 up.

From the break, No Mathata made double substitutions, but that did not redeem the situation. Chouka Chouka, as Motlakase is acclaimed by their home crowd, continued enjoying a large chunk of ball possession. On the 47th minute, Goareng Supang made it 5-0 to complete the rout.

No Mathata coach, Mosimanegape Kanono said his side did not have a good game because he started the match with fringe players. He said his senior players came late to the game because they knocked off late from the BCL mine.
