Double date for Jojo in SA

 

The Mpatiseng hit-maker will entertain at the Danville Stadium in Mafikeng at an International Literacy Day event. On the evening of the same day, she is expected to take to the stage at the Mmabatho Convention Centre, at an event billed to mark the end of the Women's day celebrations. 

The 22-year-old musician's manager, Gilbert Seagile confirmed the two gigs. 'It's two events on the same day, but it's interesting because in the evening she performs at a gospel festival dedicated to the month of women,' Seagile said.

Seagile believes the two engagements will open doors for the energetic performer in the country, popularly known as Mzansi.'She has to work hard because there is a possibility she may tour a few more provinces promoting heritage and culture,' he said.

Last week, the song Mpatiseng was voted Motsweding fm's Song of the Week and was played frequently on the radio station.On Tuesday night, Mafikeng fm interviewed her about her experiences and dreams in the music industry. The station's listeners called in during the interview and most applauded her excellent efforts. Jojo continues to promote her debut album and hopes to sell more copies in South Africa where she is fast developing a fan base.

Her music is already popular in Lesotho where she performed at a two-day Cultural Exchange Festival during the Easter holidays in April. Last December, she entertained Lesotho's bigwigs at an event hosted by Makhoaroana Member of Parliament (MP) Daniel Mooketsi Sello.
