Clubs in last ditch effort to beef up squads

 

Township Rollers, who have been losing players more than they signed in the past few weeks, are finally making replacements.

Rollers have signed former Extension Gunners utility player, Maano Ditshupo and former Notwane striker, Lemogang Maswena. Maswena is seen as a replacement for Mogakolodi Ngele who is now plying his trade with South Africa Premiership side, Platinum Stars.

The Mascom Top 8 champions have also welcomed back national Under-20 goalkeeper, Bobby Mathe from Uniao Flamengo Santos following the departure of first choice goalkeeper, Kabelo Dambe.

Dambe has joined Platinum Stars on a season-long loan. Mwampule Masule is expected to become the first choice goalkeeper for the next season. They are also said to be on the lookout for another goalkeeper with Police XI's Kago Mokibe on the radar. Despite abundance of talent at the back, Rollers have also secured the services of national Under-23 defender, Edwin Motlhagodi.

The exciting defender, who can also play in front of the defence, has been a pillar of strength at UB Hawks.Extension Gunners have also moved swiftly to make adjustments in the squad following the departure of some key men among them Ditshupo and former captain, Ofentse Mmipi. Mmipi has signed for BDF XI.

The Lobatse side has already signed former Notwane defender, Desire Bafana and are close to sealing a deal with Santos' winger, Mathews Moruti. Moruti is one of the key national Under-20 players. GU midfielder, Tshepo 'Schoolboy' Molefe is also said to be on his way back to Gunners.

New comers, Motlakase Power Dynamos have signed Botshelo Lorato from Rollers as well as Bogosi Nfila from TAFIC. Exciting Zimbabwean midfielder, Tendai Nyamusi is said to be on his way to Mpumalanga Aces in South Africa. Nyamusi only joined ECCO City Greens last season and helped them reach the Mascom Top 8 final. (BFA) to terminate their affiliation has been moved to today at the High Court in Gaborone. Systems together with another Premier League side, Police XI saw their membership nullified following their failure to pay annual subscription fees.
