Volleyball league gives way to cup competition

Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) senior development officer, Mission Mereyotlhe said the break was not expected to affect the league schedule as it was planned in advance. He said they could not run the two simultaneously because they want to give both the value they deserve.

BDF VI leads the menâ's league with 45 points while their army rivals, Diphatsa is breathing heavily on their necks with 43 points. A fierce battle is in the offing in the women's game where log leaders Kutlwano, Kalavango and Mafolofolo are each separated by a point.

The fifth edition of Capital Motors kicks off on September 8 and will run over three weekends. Capital Motors sponsors the tournament for P175, 000. Meanwhile, the BVF will today host a refresher course for coaches at Lobatse.
