Diphatsa close in on second spot

The third placed side is well placed to leapfrog Mafolofolo into second position to take advantage of their rivals' inactivity. Morale is high in the Diphatsa camp, following last weekend's back-to-back victories over Magstimela and Victory Seekers.

Diphatsa has a double date against Spiking Stars and Itekeng. If they win both games the team might push closer to BDF VI. Two wins will see them into second spot with 37 points four ahead of Mafolofolo.

The Francistown based side is expected to have a stroll in the part against the two struggling sides. George Leabaneng's camp will depend much on seasoned players, Odirile 'Driller' Sibanda and Pastor Rebabonye. BDF VI men face a test of character when they meet a youthful Police. It will be resilience against experience when the two sides meet as BDF relies on old horse while there is a young feel at Police.

BDF VI coach, Selebatso Mabutho said the second round is critical because it is when the championship will be decided. Mabutho said they take their weekend encounters seriously and will give the two teams the respect they deserve.' Despite doing well we have not by any chance won the league,' Mabutho said. In the other matches at SSKB on Saturday Magstimela men will face Police with Spiking, Magstimela tie concluding the Saturday fixtures.

On Sunday still at SSKB, Prisons will have a double date against Kutlwano and Victory Seekers before Victory Seekers and Prisons square off. Spiking Stars women play Magstimela and Diphatsa, Dynamites and Magstimela playing together on Saturday. On Sunday Victory Seekers will play against BDF VI, while Dynamites will face Magstimela with Spiking Stars up against Magstimela.
