Pearluza to rock Namibia this weekend

Pearluza told Showbiz that she will be leaving for Rundu and Katimamulilo today (Wednesday) for two-weekend shows, following an invitation to perform there. According to the musician, her instant climb to 'stardom' was realised following a musical show she performed at, where she curtain-raised for  kwasa kwasa's Biza Mupulu at Trekkers Night Club in Maun early this year.

'Although I performed only one song during the show, a lot of people wanted  more from me. It is unfortunate that the police came in to close down the venue when I was about to perform the second song. I was disappointed as I had wanted people to have a taste of my brand new album,' said Pearluza.

She explained that when she got off the stage a man with a foreign accent called her over and told her that she was a good stage performer.  He then  promised to connect her with Namibian music promoters for possible performances in that country.

'After roughly two weeks, I received a call from Katimamulilo, Namibia inviting me over for a musical show; as well as a request for a quotation.  At first I was sceptical but I finally decided to forward my quotation to the promoter.

On the same day they called me again and informed me that they were comfortable with my prices for two gigs, hence I was officially booked to play at Rundu on April 20, before another show at Katimamulilo on the next day,' she said. She further stated that the promotions company have since paid her half the appearance fees and that the balance will be paid in full when she arrives in Namibia today.

Pearluza's album is  yet to  be played on  local radio stations as the musician is still promoting it 'on the streets'.  She has also indicated that she will take it to the radio stations after winter this year.
