Oodira sets the pace in My Star Show

However, boys and girls are beginning to be separated from men and women as the competition heats up.

Judges were impressed and complemented the aspirants for taking heed of their advices.  Judges were also impressed that contenders have improved significantly in terms of audibility. One contestant who has made a significant improvement in the competition is Shirley Oodira.  She started the competition on a low note and no one gave her a chance.  But she has been impressive in the past weeks and made her critics eat humble pie.

She continued to wow the audience on Friday with Celion Dion's, I Love You.  Oodira's confidence has continued to grow with the competition and is beginning to find her feet in the race for top honours. Although she may not be as vocally talented as some of the stronger contenders, Oodira's hard work should take her places.  She is one contender who takes the  judges' wise counsel seriously.  Judges also gave her the thumbs-up and advised her to keep up the good work.

'You are amazing, you are growing in confidence and talent and your low notes really show how much you have grown,' said DJ Sid. 'You have found your destiny, keep working hard,' said Master Dee. The other contender, who continues to impress, is Amogelang Moatlhaping. The Moshupa-born rising star has not disappointed judges throughout the competition so far.  She is one aspirant who has been tipped to make it to the far end of the contest.

Peach Kereemang, too, is one contender to watch out for.  He is no newcomer to the competition and this time around is leaving no stone unturned. He takes the competition seriously and has shown so much hunger.

Kereemang continues to improve with each show much to the satisfaction of the adjudicators. Motswafere Sithole changed from his usual crazy self on Friday and showed his gentler side. He sang a slow song and was stuck in one place throughout the competition but his fans still loved him.  Meanwhile, the competition is down to 23 contenders after Prince left on Friday.
