Multichoice explain prize money delay

Parson told reporters in Zimbabwe that he had not received his money by Tuesday when asked what he had done with the US$200, 000 (P1.3 million).

The company's head of Marketing and Communications, Gerald Chinogara revealed that Parson had no bank account in Zimbabwe, hence the delay.

'What happened is that Wendall was coming from Australia and then he went for the BBAA. He didn't have an account in Zimbabwe so when he won he never gave them (South Africa office) his banking details. They had also indicated that the money would only reflect after a month and there were also challenges since he had no account,' Chinogara told Showbiz.

Meanwhile, former BBAA housemate Vimbai Mutinhiri is set to launch own range of fragrance before December. The top model is yet to name the fragrance, but it will be for women. Already the production of the fragrance is said to be at an advanced stage and the line will be out in time for the launch.

'The fragrance is now at an advanced stage. What is left is for us to test what is the best formula and decide on a name for it,' she told a Zimbabwean daily.

She said it was her hope that the fragrance would go international and become a top seller.  Vimbai, who was once the face of M-Net, said the fragrance would be subtle and refreshing for its users.  Apart from launching the fragrance the socialite said she was also going to continue with her programme dubbed 'The Zimbabwean Dream Campaign', a charitable campaign to assist orphanages in Zimbabwe.

'I am going to carry on with my programme of donating to the less privileged in our society so that I can help change their lives,' Vimbai said.

She urged the corporate world to follow suit and donate to the orphanages and change their lives.  She donated part of the US$10, 000 (P66,628.50)she received from the President to charity.
