Matsetse drops Night and Day

The album contains eight tracks namely, Lion Of Judah, Day And Night, This Love, Your Grace, My Light, Morena Wa Barena, Be Still, and I Am Blessed.  One of the things that set Matsetse apart from his peers is that he excels in both praise and worship and he always gives his fans his best as he has done with his latest offering.

In the title track, Night And Day - the artist collaborated with one of Kenya's top selling gospel artists, Alex 'Ringtone' Apoko.  The engaging song is set to be released as a single in Kenya during the festive season.

Another outstanding song in the album is Lion Of Judah, which is a Shona remix.  It is clear with Night And Day and Lion Of Judah that the artist is determined to capture the international market and he is doing a thorough job of it.

The third song, This Love, is a Matsetse vintage as it has been featured in a past album.  One of the reasons the song was included in the current album is that it is one of his songs that have been well-received and made him the respected artist that he is.  As mentioned before, the artist is a true leader when it comes to praise and worship and this album has helped cement his place as a leader in his genre.  Every song in the album ministers to someone and this is what has made Matsetse a darling of gospel music lovers.

Having said that, this reviewer believes that if given the right atmosphere and platform, this artist can make it on the international stage and fortunately this is the route that he is determined to take.

Perhaps it is high time the artist also looked for new and more engaging trends in the gospel genre so that he continues to occupy the lofty place in the gospel music industry.

Showbiz has sadly noticed that Batswana tend to buy and promote international artists, which cripples the music industry in the country.  There is no doubt that if lovers of gospel music in the country supported this talented young man, he can go places.  Matsetse has two previous albums namely Wanna Live and This Love, which have been well-received.
