Satmos dismisses coach

Ntini's departure has been on the cards after Satmos director, Mooketsi 'China' Mading, took charge of training sessions last week.

Satmos said Ntini was fired for poor results. Assistant coach, Duncan Tshegofatso, has been named as Ntini's replacement.

The Selebi-Phikwe side anchor the log with just a point from five matches. The Cheetahs' dismal performance was underlined by a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of BDF X1 last weekend. This meant the team had conceded eight goals in two matches after a 4-1 thrashing by Township Rollers.

'Tshegofatso was understudying Ntini but they had their differences when it came to the selection of the squad.

He is now expected to change the complexion of the team. You can also see from the aggressive training that he is giving the players.

We expect to see a different Satmos soon,' said Satmos spokesperson, Mpenzeni Sambandawe. He explained that the club was reassessing all the departments, including management, because they want to identify the weak points.

He said they cannot accept defeats in all games after working hard to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Sambandawe pointed out that the club is in the league to compete not to add numbers.

After his arrival at Satmos last season, Ntini managed to get the club promoted to the Premier League.

Efforts to get a comment from Ntini were futile as his mobile phone was off.

Tshegofatso's first match in charge will be against high-flying BMC in Lobatse this weekend.
