Township Rollers dusted off their early blues and hammered newly promoted Phikwe side FC Satmos 4-1 in Phikwe in a one sided encounter.
It was Rollers's first win of the season since they opened the new season with a heavy defeat by Centre Chiefs.
Their miserable start was punctuated by a horrific stampede at the Molepolole stadium recently where scores of fans sustained serious injuries, as Rollers, yet again failed to win.
Sekhana Koko started the rout for the Blues when his 9th minute close range geader missed by a whisker. The Gaborone giants continued to enjoy the lion's share of possession.
The Cheetahs, as Satmos are praised by their fans, fluffed a chance on the 25th minute when controversial Township Rollers goal keeper Kabelo Dambe had strayed from his position.
Mogakolodi Tsotso Ngele's 26th minute long range effort looked to be sailing into the net but missed by a hair's breadth. However Koko opened the floodgates in the 28th minute finishing off a rebound from Satmos goalie, Murambiwa Ndlovu.
The lethal marksman was back again searching for another goal but his 34th minute effort was stopped by Ndlovu.
The visitors continued to dominate play and it was in the 38th minute when Rollers new signing, Ngele netted a brilliant goal after the goalkeeper's mistake.
Koko continued to tear Satmos defence with his dribbling skills towards the end of the first half.
Ngele nearly got Rollers the third goal in the 44th minute but the keeper managed to keep him at bay.
In the second half, Satmos tried to come back into the game but lack of experience in the elite league was clear.
The Cheetahs did not want to keep their heads down as Lesego Moiphemedi scored for them in the 53rd minute.
In the 55th minute Simisani Mathumo answered for Rollers. A sustained Rollers pressure resulted in the home side conceading an own goal by Tafazwa Dzombe on the 68th minute.
Satmos went on to make double substitutions but that did not help the situation. The whole of Satmos technical bench could be seen shouting instructions at the young players who were now out of breath. Ngele hit another fine goal for the Blues but it was disallowed by the referee.
Rollers coach, Wesley Mondo said after the game that he was delighted with the way his boys played.
