Tshegofatso takes over a dispirited team with just one point from five games. The former assistant coach said he has been with the club for a long time and that should serve him well.
'I have vast experience in the Premier League. I have played big guns before. Satmos did not start the season well but it is an exciting team because it is made up of young players.
I enjoy working with the youth because I have worked with them before as a BISA coach,' said Tshegofatso.
He said Satmos has the potential to surprise a lot of teams this seasons with its young players. He cited Uniao Flamengo Santos as a team that proved how handful youthful players can be. Tshegofatso said Satmos players need their tactical and creative ability to be blended and that is when they can be highly competitive. He said he has faith in the players. He pointed out that there is still hard work that needs to be done in attack.
He said the club needs to get a striker urgently if its fortunes are to change.
Tshegofatso observed that Satmos creates a lot of chances, which are not converted. He said even last weekend, they outplayed BMC despite losing the match.
He said the team has prepared adequately for the Mochudi Centre Chiefs game this weekend.
'I have studied the way Chiefs play. I know that they will be launching massive attacks from the wings and upfront. If we can just stop their attacks, we are done with them. There is nothing that can stop us from winning the game. I have also played against Madinda Ndlovu before,' he said. Tshegofatso pointed out their number one goalkeeper, Murambiwa Ndlovu, who got a knock on the knee, is currently being assessed and they will see if he is fit enough to play against Chiefs.
