BVF AGM date finally set

This comes four months after the meeting was delayed because the 2010 financial statements had not been audited. This led to the committee that was elected in 2009 staying in office beyond its two-year term. BVF president, Daniel Molaodi said the auditing is incomplete, but auditors promised that it would be done at the time of going to the meeting.

Although it would be an elective AGM, there have been no nominations as it is a norm with BVF elections. Molaodi said candidates would only be known on the day of the meeting. However, speculation is that most of the committee members may be unopposed. The committee has only been in office for two years and some affiliates feel given more time they could do more to develop the game. Some of the issues that the meeting will discuss are the adoption of the amended play rules and regulations that were presented at the last ordinary general meeting held in Gaborone.
