CNN has confirmed TMZ's report that Kardashian filed arbitration papers on Friday against Jonathan Jaxson, a fellow who's been making the media rounds saying that Kardashian has a history of crafting situations for cameras and publicity.
Kardashian's publicist told CNN, 'As a result of Jonathan Jaxson communicating outrageous false statements last week, Kim Kardashian commenced legal proceedings on Friday afternoon against Jaxson.
Jaxson sought to get his 15 minutes of fame to promote his alleged book by falsely stating he was Kim's publicist. Jaxson was never Kardashian's publicist. In fact, in March 2007, Jaxson apologised in writing to Kim for referring to himself as her publicist.
My client is exercising her legal rights and remedies just as anyone else would do under these circumstances.'
Jaxson says he did PR work with Kim when she was still in a relationship with Reggie Bush, and told the radio programme Elvis Duran and the Morning Show last week that he recalls Kim staging a proposal from her then beau, Bush.
He also said on HLN's Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell, 'I knew what her life was going to become, eventually, we all had it planned out for her, and she kind of had it planned out for herself.'
But, he says, 'Her divorce really has taken me by surprise.
Kim's always been one of these women to work on her relationships...it's very shocking to me....She definitely didn't give it a fighting chance, but what she did do is make a lot of money off her wedding.' (CNN)
