My Star top 10 makes no eliminations

This is the stage whereby contestants are given words and instrumentals to come up with their own songs.

Opening the show was Goitseone Gumbo who performed Natural Woman.  Although she tried her best with the song, the judges' concern at this stage is on task songs. She was advised to avoid too much lyrics on the song because it was a dance song.

Elizabeth Ramaeba, the ever-flamboyant beauty, did Someone Like You so well, but when it came to her task song, which got the audience carried away, the judges said she edited the song on stage, which is not good.

'You got me lost, you decided to edit, you could have practised the song,' judge Kgomotso Tshwenyego said.

Norman Otukile, who performed Sir Elton John's Nikita, showed the audience what he is made of. More came when he did the task song, which saw him dance like never before.  His song got revellers on their feet and cheers filled the atmosphere.

Birthday boy, Kennedy Thal, also got the audience screaming wildly when doing his task song, which showcased his creative buds.  Yet another talent, who is having the least votes on a regular basis now, Kalvin Kesupile, dished out One Love, to the audience.  His task song also engaged spectators as the cheerful lad rocked the stage with his dance moves and vocal variations.

The judges' comments were not very harsh as they kept on saying it was the contestants' first night of task songs, but encouraged them to improve next time.No eliminations were made last Friday when Kalvin got saved, leaving Bianca Gabasiane and Refilwe Ramogotsi in a heated battle of vocals.

The judges felt none of the duo had to be sent home and encouraged the public to vote wisely so that the competition could unearth the very person they are looking for.
