He stated that delay will not affect other programmes and the start of the second round in September. The federation will hold a coaching course and a general assembly during the break. Keotsene said they have learnt vital lessons that will be useful in making the second round better.

He said they will find a way of reducing the number of times clubs travel to play matches and sort out the problem of venues.

He explained that in most cases, they rely on hired venues whose owners communicate unavailability at the last minute. Keotsene is disappointed at the level of competition in the women league.

Meanwhile, Diphatsa of Francistown, log leaders Kutlwano and Mafolofolo are vying for supremacy as the first round of the men's league nears the end. Defending champions, Kutlwano lead the pack with 37 points, six ahead of Diphatsa and Mafolofolo. In the women league, Kutlwano lead the log with 24 points followed by Kalavango.
