Rapture predictor receives no sympathy after stroke

Radio host Harold Camping is said to have suffered a stroke last Thursday and is in hospital  where the doctors are now monitoring him.

When the world did not end on May 21 as he had predicted Camping changed the end date to October 21.

Reports state that this is not the first time Camping has made such predictions as he once said the world would come to an end in 1994. Many people who made comments on Facebook and other communication sites showed no sympathy for 89-year-old Camping saying that God must be punishing him for using his name (God's) in vain.

One of the people commenting on Facebook said that the man deserved the stroke.  'Good for him, sorry to say this but he misled us all and now God is punishing him,' said one member.  Many people seem to treat the tragic stroke that hit Camping as a sign from God.

Another Facebook user Rita Lopang wrote that: 'Honestly, I hate it that the man had a stroke, but it's really hard to feel sorry for the man who caused people (albeit very stupid people) to ruin their lives by giving up their homes, life savings, and jobs because they believed his word. Here's hoping that more people will remember the fraud when October comes around and give the man zero attention.' Another user wrote that God is punishing him for misleading people.  'He was warned not to play with God but he did not listen now look God is punishing him for misleading his people,' wrote Tebatso Ike.

Another user who shared the sentiment Pearl Mogadima wrote that Camping is not familiar with the bible. 'Clearly this man does not read the bible otherwise he would have read that it says that no one will know not even Jesus but only the father,' she stated.

However several other people have sympathised with Camping for the stroke and the failed rapture saying that he has a lot of faith.  Camping has now rescheduled the doomsday prediction that failed on May 21 to October 21.

Other people think that he is crossing the line as he had cheated people of their savings and now he is going to do it again in October.
