Motlhasedi releases new album and DVD

The new album contains hit tracks like O Jeso, Ke Modimo, I'm Gonna Run; O Etla Jeso, You Are So Faithful; and Jesus Is Alive. 'The first track, O Jeso is based on Matthews 16:13 whereby Jesus asked his disciples who he was.

With the revelation of the Holy Spirit, Peter said 'you are Jesus'.  The message is that people must know Jesus in person and know who the Bible says he is.  People must know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour,' stated Nakedi. He added that to him all the songs are big hits.  'They are all big because they are inspired by the Holy Spirit and any particular song depends on the situation that one finds himself in. In both sad and joyful moments, these songs will serve you.  The problem is that when people find themselves in difficult situations, they think God has forsaken them.  This is what the second track, Ke modimo is all about,' added Nakedi.

He stated that the other track, I'm gonna run, is great because it is a danceable song.  'It basically means to run with the gospel/ the good news. O Etla Jeso talks about the second coming of Jesus.  The other one, You Are So Faithful is a praise and worship song,' he said. Nakedi also explained that O Ngodiegetseng Moya Wame (Why Are You So Downcast My Soul?) is based on the words of David, which mean that when you are down you must put your trust in the Lord.

The gospel maestro has also released his first DVD album titled, The best of Mpho Nakedi Volume 1. 'This is my first album and Volume 2 is coming soon.  Apart from music there's also drama in this DVD,' added Nakedi.Nakedi, who released his first album in 1997, has eight albums under his belt so far. 

'These songs are mostly inspired by the holy spirit.  My new album is already being promoted in Gaborone, Palapye, Serowe and Francistown.  'So far, more than 1,000 copies have been sold,' concluded Nakedi.
