Mogorosi joins Chiefs ...as Kgosiemang moves to Rollers

Meanwhile, Chiefs' right-back, Tshepiso Kgosiemang has moved the other direction and joined the defending be MOBILE Premier League champions. A source close to the deal said Mogorosi has finally joined after weeks of speculation. Kgosiemang was reportedly spotted at the Rollers' training ground last night as news of his switch spread.

The reliable source confirmed that the two players had changed clubs while attacking midfielder, Lesego Galenamotlale, is expected to join Rollers before the transfer window closes. It will be Mogorosi's move that will rile thousands of Popa fans who had come to idolise the national team winger. Mogorosi's contract with Rollers expired last month and was therefore a free agent. Chiefs reportedly dangled a lucrative deal before his eyes, which he found hard to resist.

Prospects of winning a second successive Premier League title with Rollers and a move to South Africa led to the player being indecisive. Rollers took the star winger for trials with SuperSport United of South Africa recently. The 27-year-old player impressed SuperSport United coach, Gavin Hunt, but the Absa Premiership champions could not sign him as they had already exhausted their foreign quota. This left room for the ambitious Chiefs to flash a lucrative deal before his eyes with the player showing that his stay at Rollers is not guaranteed.

Mogorosi missed Rollers' league match against Notwane over the weekend heightening rumours that he was on his way out of the club. The player told Mmegi Sport yesterday afternoon that he missed the game due to an injury he picked last week during the national team's 2-1 loss to Sweden in Cape Town.

'I missed the weekend game because I had a knock that I got when we played Sweden last week. It had nothing to do with any contract talks,' he said. Mogorosi scored the Zebras' only goal in the Sweden game. Before the move was confirmed last night, Mogorosi had said he will continue playing for Rollers until he decides on his next move. 'For now I will be playing for Rollers until I sign a new deal,' he said in the earlier interview.

When he was asked about his move to Chiefs, Mogorosi was non-committal. 'I cannot say 'no', at the same time; I cannot say 'yes'. I still need to sit down and look at my options before I make a decision.' Mogorosi has been pivotal in the Rollers' title defence, scoring crucial goals and has been arguably the most outstanding player.
