What is wrong with Killer Giants?

Killer Giants have suffered three consecutive defeats and virtually lost hope of thwarting Fighters' charge for a quick return to the Premiership. The two sides meet this weekend in Ramotswa in a must -game for Killer Giants. Sebatana have lost their last two games at home and their Siga Primary School Ground is no longer the slaughterhouse it was once.

With the string of poor results, Killer Giants' supporters might be losing patience as they have now become a laughing stock in the village. The arrival of some experienced players in Thatayaone Bagoleng, Trevor Moiseraele and Malebogo Ntebogang has not helped them as they have failed to deliver the goals. But what has gone wrong at Killer Giants?

Captain Donald 'Coach' Mopako told Mmegi Sport they have been affected by the number of injuries they had at the start of the second round. This has not been helped by the fact that the Ramotswa side lacked depth. Larona Maoto, Mike Manyeula, Mopako, Terrence Maoto, Moiserale and Bagoleng are some of the players who had to sit out matches this season due to injuries. 'Injuries have been a major blow to us.

That is why we seem to be struggling. But this has taught us a great lesson that if we want to win promotion, we've to have a big squad,' Mopako told Mmegi Sport. He asserted that the defeat against Naughty Boys, they finished the game with less players because of injuries.

Though there have been reports of instability in the club with some people questioning the ability of coach Raizor Tsatsilebe, Mopako said he was not aware of any problems.
'If there is anything like that, I could have long heard of it. All I can tell our supporters is that we're just having a slump and we'll bounce back as soon as we find our footing,' he said. Mopako pleaded with his teammates to wake up from the slumber and bring back the smiles to the faces of Sebatana supporters.

He is confident that they will put an improved performance against Fighters in Ramotswa on Saturday. 'We've got nothing to lose and we will be under no pressure. Position one is out of sight but all I can tell you is that Fighters will sweat on that day,' he said. Mopako said that they might regain their form against the Mogoditshane side whose performance was not convincing against Naughty Boys last Sunday.
