Batswana urged to fully utilise govt services

 

Molefhi pointed out that Botswana is the only country among both developing and developed nations that still provides free education up to tertiary level. He also dismissed rumours that tenders are only awarded to BDP members, saying that tenders are only awarded to suitable bidders, regardless of political party affiliations.

Molefhi urged ruling party members to vote for Mmapula Matlhole in the impending by-election so that she can continue the government's programme and services agenda.

He indicated that a new hospital and the upgrading of the technical college in Selebi-Phikwe are some of the upcoming projects.

He advised Batswana to help government diversify the economy and advise on how the economy can be improved.

Assistant Minister of Health Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri urged women to vote for each other and vote for Matlhole as she is committed to the development of the area.

The chairperson of the national Women's Wing, Angelina Sengalo encouraged members to defend the party in every situation and desist from petty politics that can destroy the party.

The event in Selebi-Phikwe was part of the party's 49th birthday celebrations at which members engaged in activities such as nationwide litter-picking as well as family day celebrated on the 18th of this month.

The party's birthday celebrations in Selebi-Phikwe included a visit to Selebi-Phikwe Government Hospital, where patients received a donation of food hampers. They also visited the BCL Mine hospital and Tapologo Clinic in Ikageleng ward.
