KBL - the stepping stone to leadership

In a recent observation, KBL noted that almost all Directors who have left the company have gone on to assume Managing Director or General Manager positions elsewhere.  This is a source of pride for KBL.

It will be noted that KBL's immediate former Operations Director moved on to become the Managing Director of a local container and logistics company.  A former Corporate Affairs Director assumed the Managing Director position of a multinational security company whereat he subsequently moved on to head a much bigger operation of the same company outside Botswana.  Most recently, Meshack Tshekedi, who has been the Supply Chain Director took over as the General Manager of a local medical rescue company.  We are proud of our former colleagues and thank them for their contribution in making KBL a great place to work.

KBL is pleased to be able to share the knowledge, skills and experience of its former employees with corporate Botswana.  Our company invests suitable resources to support the growth and development of our talent and it gives us immense pleasure to see our people become the very best that they can ever be.  In consequence, and as these individuals take on other responsibilities, KBL always takes this as an opportunity to look both within and outside for people who can bring new vim and vigor in order to continue and foster the success and legacy built over time, and to sustain the company in the long term.

In this context, we are excited over the recent appointment of Buca Kereng to the position of Supply Chain Director, following the departure of Tshekedi.  As is practice, Kereng will be given the necessary support, resources and room to flourish as his predecessors.

For his comment, the Group Managing Director Hloni Matsela said:

'The development of local talent is one of our key priorities considering that people are our enduring advantage.

It is therefore, in our interest to develop individuals who can drive our business forward, as well as being capable of leading other local businesses and as a result contribute to the development of Botswana's economy.'
