Juanita Bynum is coming

Known for her fresh collection of funky urban worship and gospel ballad blues, Bynum will be the main guest speaker at a conference themed, 'Quest for His Presence'.

The annual conference, set for September 15-18, has been organised by a local church New Seasons Ministry. Apart from ministering the gospel at Rainbow Hall, her local fans will be itching to hear her sing popular songs, including the joyous Above All Else, You Are Holy, Overflow, Any Crown, and Wonderful Is Your Name.Bynum is on record as saying she treats invitations like the Botswana one as an opportunity to minister to God's people.

A spokesperson for the organisers, Margaret Vanderwesthuizen, said they had invited Bynum because of her outstanding thrust on character-building.  'Prophetess Bynum is fuelled by a passion to fulfil God's mandate for these turbulent times.  Her thrust on character-building by merging spirituality with everyday living provokes people to pursue a life of integrity, hence our decision to invite her,' she told Showbiz.

The organisers are hoping that Bynum's visit will help deepen their intimacy with God and arise to their divine calling and destiny. Before releasing her first appearance album, Morning Glory, Vol. 1: Peace in 1999, Bynum had lived in a variety of places around the country working at various jobs, none of which involved either music or religion.  Though she had developed up in a Pentecostal family in Chicago, it was not until 1990 when she moved to New York that she began preaching.

Realising that this was her calling, she in progress giving sermons and talks in churches around the nation, wrote books, founded Juanita Bynum Ministries.  Bynum is an anointed woman of God and called to be a voice to the nation.  She has a fully staffed ministry team with national as well as international travels and is likely to come along with some of them.  She is one of the most sought after female preachers and holds the TBN 10 out of 12 top Neilson rating as a host.  Bynum was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Thomas and Katherine Bynum.  As a child, her parents always made sure that she and her siblings went to church every week at their home church, St Luke Church of God in Christ.  Bynum attended Saints Academy Church of God in Christ High School, Lexington, Mississippi.
