Botswana Society tackles corruption in panel discussion

The discussion will feature three panelists to address the question: 'Can Poverty Be Eradicated in Botswana?' It is open to the public. Development analyst Dr P. Moepeng of BIDPA, economist Dr J.B. Tlhalefang of the University of Botswana and representative of the government of Botswana will sit in the panel.  The panel will discuss the current strategy of the government to eradicate poverty (or abject poverty) in Botswana through diversification, agricultural and food security, and marketing networks.

The Public Forum Series seeks to provide the community at regular intervals with the opportunity to address and discuss matters of major national importance.  In future, informed speakers and panels will offer varying viewpoints and the audience will be given the opportunity to make comments and ask questions.
