Estate developer Jamali has 147 residential plots in Tlokweng

 

Jamali says on his website that his company is currently the biggest private developer in Botswana. Still in Tlokweng, Jamali says he is building a 250-room hotel. Jamali was last week served with court papers for prosecution for allegedly corrupting a public officer to get a chunk of land on which he has built residential units at Maruapula, among others. He will appear in court on April 13.

Universal Builders, which has over 20 years of industry experience in Botswana, advertises the Tlokweng BoosTown as, ' The Keys to your House are in our Hands'. 'Boostown Housing Complex is being developed in order to address the challenges of providing safe, affordable, quality housing for Batswana.

'We are committed to providing Boostown residents with quality homes and excellent management and maintenance teams,' Jamali's company says on the website. The company says, 'The land mass of the BoosTown site, encompasses 147 plots. And therefore, Boostown is being developed in phases'.

Jamali also says they have completed construction of  two-bedroom houses, which will be followed by construction of tarred roads, pavements, security boundary walls and installation of street lights. Three-bedroom units will follow in Phase 4 of the project, to be followed by high density units in Phase 5 of the project.

It will also have a school. Another upcoming residential project by Jamali, to be known as GoalesTown is coming up at Maruapula. Not much information is given on the website however about the GoalesTown.

Some of Jamali's projects in Gaborone include the Westgate Mall, CTM warehouse, Block 7 Primary School, Limkokwing University and Hostels, and Peo Nursery School in GoalesTown. Others include the Universal Estate, Block 6, Gaborone, Universal Estate, Molapo Estate, Francistown, Universal House, Gaborone.

Some of the upcoming projects include the Westgate Square, while a multi-million structure is being developed at the CBD in Gaborone.
