But if those two are not your favourites then perhaps you would be excited to learn that Mr Everything - William Mthethwa - is also coming and so is platinum selling Cheek to Cheek whose hit song Let Me Live My Live still remains an all-time favourite even magnifying that generation that came after its existence.
These great musicians will be leading a pack of yesteryear stars scheduled to perform at Molapowabojang on April 22. Dubbed the Stars of the '80s, the concert will also give music lovers a chance to see 'live in action' the likes of Dan Nkosi, Zizi Kongo, Ali Katt, Sidney Mogopodi, Om Alec, Condry as well as Patricia Majalisa.
The promoter of the show Super Letshabo is excited to be hosting these big stars and so is Mthethwa, who told Showbiz: 'I believe a lot of people had just concluded that some of us are already dead and this is the time to show them that we still have a lot of steam, we will prove at the show that apart from the talent that we all possess we still have the energy to move crowds and we still do our thing with a lot of passion like we did in the '80s and '90s.'
Letshabo said: 'These are the musicians who paved the way for many stars who came up in the recent years, but unfortunately, a lot of people have only heard their music on radio and not seen them and I believe it is a good thing to have so many of them coming for one show. It is a rare opportunity and I feel honoured that they have chosen me to promote their show. Those of us who have seen them before have missed them for a long time and we are anxious to see if they can reproduce their magic of the 1980s.'
According to Letshabo, the musicians have volunteered to donate part of the proceeds to two destitute families in Molapowabojang. 'The money would be used to connect stand pipes for those families and establish some backyard gardens for them. We hope to get sponsors for the show so that we would be able to contribute more.
But first and foremost this is for music lovers to come and enjoy themselves, we would be starting at 4:00 pm till late,' he said. Letshabo said they are still trying to identify local musicians to feature at the show.
