Reports say Moyo's agreement with the club is that if he wins the cup, he gets 10 percent of the P350,000 prize money. It is understood that the players will be given half of what remains to share. However, the coach and the management were non-committal about the matter. Moyo only told Mmegi Sport that the club management has said they will reward everyone should Gunners win the cup. 'The players and the rest of the technical team have done well and they all deserve rewards, but it is management who will decide,' he said. Gunners' manager, Mashlaw Motlogelwa stated that they intend to motivate the players ahead of the final though he did not provide details. 'We're trying to motivate the players because as management, we have the responsibility to motivate the players,' he said.
He explained that they will give incentives to players and the technical team. 'We are looking forward to keep[ing] the same kind of momentum and the same kind of commitment. It's the one that the players have been showing and they have been very positive in responding to the coach's tactics.'
The Lobatse side stormed into the final for the first time in 10 years and face surprise package, Motlakase, in the title decider. Gunners have been giving players P400 each for every win in the cup.
But their opponents in the final, Motlakase, have not been rewarding players in this campaign. The Palapye side has played all its Coke Cup games outside their base and this has drained the club's financial resources. However, Motlakase chairman, Mangisi Segadimo, has assured his players that a reward awaits them at the end of the campaign.
'The players have shown so much commitment in the Coca-Cola Cup. They really worked hard and I believe they deserve a huge reward for the work that they have done. We will definitely give them something from the little we get; we can't ignore them because they have done very well. We may be struggling financially but we need to show a bit of appreciation for what they have done in this campaign,' he said.
